Coming to Paris and getting around.

Getting to Paris
Paris is well-connected and easy to reach. Here are a few options:
-
By Train:
-
Eurostar: For our London friends, we recommend booking a direct train from London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord, which takes 2 hours 15 minutes.
-
TGV & Other Trains: High-speed trains connect Paris to other major European cities.
-
-
By Air:
Paris has two main airports:-
Charles de Gaulle (CDG): Located 23 km from the city center, with connections by RER B train, bus or taxi.
-
Orly (ORY): Located 13 km from the city center, accessible by metro, Orlyval train, tram T7, or bus.
-
-
By Bus:
-
Budget-friendly options like FlixBus and BlaBlaCar Bus connect Paris with many European cities.
-
-
By Car:
-
Consider carpooling.
-

Getting around Paris
Welcome to Paris! Getting around is easy in theory, and more difficult in practice!
-
Public Transport (RATP):
-
Metro: The Paris Metro is the fastest way to get around the city.
-
RER Trains: Ideal for trips to the suburbs, including locations around the Île-de-France region, like Versailles.
-
Buses and Trams: Perfect for sightseeing.
-
-
Cycling:
-
Download the Vélib' app to rent city bikes and explore Paris on two wheels.
-
-
Walking (Maya's favourite):
-
Paris is a very walkable city, and many of its iconic sites are best enjoyed on foot.
-
-
Car rental:
-
Car rentals are widely available at Paris airports and train stations. If you plan to explore France beyond Paris, this may be a good option.
-
-
Ride-Sharing & Taxis:
-
Official taxis like the G7 are easy to find at stands or via phone apps.
-
Uber & Bolt: Widely available.
-

Getting to Lésigny
The Château de Lesigny is located about 35 km southeast of central Paris.
-
By Car:
-
This is the easiest way to reach the Château.
-
The Château is about a 40-minute drive from Paris, depending on traffic. Parking is available on-site.
-
Please have a look at our carpooling links below!
-
-
By Train:
-
Take the RER D train from Paris to Boussy-Saint-Antoine station. From there, it’s a short drive (about 10 minutes) to the Château. Taxis are available from the RER station.
-
-
By Taxi or Ride-Share:
-
Services like Uber and Bolt operate in the area and could help you reach the Château.
-

Wedding Shuttle
A shuttle service will be available for the evening of the wedding to make sure everyone gets back safely and comfortably.
-
The shuttle will be available from 00:00 until the end of the reception, at 04:00. It will take you to your hotel or to the nearest train station.
-
The shuttle will depart from the entrance of the Château. It can take up to 8 people at a time.
-
If you park your car at the Château the evening of the reception, the shuttle will be available the next day to take you back to your vehicle, from 10:00 to 12:00.
Accommodation

Given the remote location of the château, we strongly recommend that you sleep closer to Lésigny on the evening of the reception, to avoid having to travel long distances at night.
Hôtel L'Abbaye du Golf
The old cloister of the Château has now been converted into a hotel with a golf course. It is the closest accommodation to the reception venue.
If you wish to stay at the Abbaye, we would be happy to assist with your booking. We have pre-booked 20 double rooms, so if you are interested please let us know as soon as possible. The price for a double room is €94.5, to be paid to us directly.
Other options are also available nearby. Please have a look at B&Bs and booking.com.

Little ones

When you arrive at the Château de Lésigny, your children can be looked after by our babysitting service. A playroom is available for them, but feel free to bring their favorite toys and games!
Honeymoon fund

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, if you would like to contribute to our honeymoon adventure across the Mediterranean, we have set up a fund to help make it very special.
